Noora Health, an international non-governmental organization, and Channel i, one of Bangladesh’s leading national television networks, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly promote awareness of family caregiving health education across Bangladesh.
Representing the two organizations at the signing were S.M. Haroon-or-Rashid, Executive Director (Program Operation), Channel I and Hosneara Khondker, Country Director of Noora Health Bangladesh, with the agreement formalized at Channel i’s office in the presence of Swapna Reza, Program and Communication Coordinator of Channel i, Medical Director Dr. Mahbubur Rasid, Wahida Zaman Shithi, Communication and Program Design Lead of Noora Health Bangladesh, and other officials from both parties.
Family caregivers play a critical, though often overlooked, role in patient recovery. Through this three-year partnership, Noora Health and Channel i will collaborate across several areas to increase public visibility and recognition of family caregiving as a health priority.
The two organizations will co-produce original programs including a talk show series featuring caregivers, healthcare professionals, and policy stakeholders to amplify the voices to showcase what family caregiving is and why it matters.
“Family caregivers are an essential part of the healthcare system, yet their contribution often goes unrecognized. Every day, families play a vital role in helping their loved ones stay healthy, manage illness, recover, and make important decisions about seeking care.
Through this MoU, Noora Health Bangladesh and Channel i hope to bring greater attention to the important role families play in healthcare and get recognized.”, said Hosneara Khondker, Country Director of Noora Health Bangladesh.
